THE Executive Chairman of Alimosho Local Government Area, Hon. Jelili Adewale Sulaimon has called for unity among members during the All Progressives Congress (APC) party LGA general meeting.
While speaking at the meeting held on Thursday, December 22, 2022, at the Abati Primary School, Akowonjo and which had members across the seven wards of the local government in attendance, the council Boss emphasized the need for all members to come together with a unity of purpose to move the council forward.
According to him, "A lot of opportunities have been lost due to disunity. So many gains the members would have enjoyed are at stake due to the disunity. Even the activities of the party are not going smoothly as a result of the disunity.”
He added, "For us all to enjoy the party, all stakeholders must come together in the interest of the party in unity to work for positive results and earn the gains together.”
He affirmed that the party in Alimosho is not in doubt that Asiwaju Bola Tinubu is the next President, Gov. Babajide Olusola Sanwo-Olu remains the Governor of Lagos State, Dr Idiat Oluranti Adebule is the Senator in Lagos West, Barr Ganiyu Adele Ayuba is the House of Representatives member, and Hon.bLuqman Orelope is the House of Assembly member in Alimosho Constituency 01.
At the end of his speech, 20 elderly persons in Alimosho were empowered with cash gifts while the party members were told to expect both cash and material gifts to celebrate the end of the year.
Earlier in the meeting, the Party Chairman in Alimosho LGA, Hon. Tosin Fatoki called on all members to go and collect their PVCs and encourage the people around them to do the same.
In addition, he reminded all members that the preparation for the general election is now in top gear. As a result, every member should go back home to maintain a healthy relationship with their people and canvass them to vote for the APC party during the general elections.
He also announced the Lagos West rally which will hold on today Friday, December 23, 2022, at the LAMATA park in the Igando-Ikotun LCDA Secretariat.
