THE Executive Chairman of Alimosho Local Government, Hon. Jelili Sulaimon, has applauded the tremendous roles the Association of Pepper Sellers (Egbe Elelo Alaseyori of Alimosho) played during the recently concluded Presidential, National Assembly, Governorship, and House of Assembly elections.
Recall that during the elections, the APC Governorship candidate, Senate, House of Representatives and State Constituencies 1 and 2 all emerged victorious.
Speaking during a courtesy visit by the association to his office, Jelili acknowledged the roles played by the women in mobilising support for the party.
He said, "Election is never a tea party. We begged, persuaded, and cajoled all segments and critical stakeholders before we could record victory. The roles you played cannot be wished away, we remain indebted to you all.
"I was raised and trained from earnings from pepper and food ingredients, my mother is one of you, I hold all of you in high esteem. I thank you very sincerely for standing by our party, APC and all our candidates."
