Ikeja Lions donate to orphanage home

Precious Pearls Orphanage Home, Egbeda, Lagos, on Tuesday, received donations from the Ikeja Exclusive Lions Club under District 404B2, on the occasion of the Clubs's second year anniversary.

THE Precious Pearls Orphanage Home, Egbeda, Lagos, on Tuesday, received donations from the Ikeja Exclusive Lions Club under District 404B2, on the occasion of the Clubs's second year anniversary.

Items donated to the orphanage include food items, detergents, gas cooker, pots, clothes and learning materials. Recall that the club was chartered at the International Association of Lions Clubs convention in Las Vegas, United States on August 1, 2018.

 According to the Club's President, Benedicta Akhuetie, the donation was an appreciation to God for the successes recorded by the Club within the last two years.

She added that it was a way to give back to the society.

Akhuetie also advised the children in the orphanage to always uphold their dignity and self-esteem, to enable them enjoy the promises and blessings of God. The Founder of the orphanage, Mrs Hannah Omeiza, thanked the Lions Club President for her contribution towards serving humanity and for adequately catering for the children.
