ALIMOSHO Local Government, alongside five others in the Lagos West Senatorial District, have received poles for solar street lights, Alimoshotoday.com has learnt.

According to Senator Solomon Olamilkekan Adeola, the senator representing the district in the National Assembly, “a contractor is on-site to deliver 130 Poles Solar Street lights in some streets in Ikeja Division, comprising Alimosho, Ikeja, Agege, Ifako-Ijaiye, Mushin and Oshodi-Isolo LGAs LWS.”

Senator Adeola, popularly known as Yayi, in a tweet via his Twitter handle, on Tuesday, said "I am keeping a close eye on the implementation of my facilitated projects during the recess.”

Meanwhile, Alimosho Today gathered that the lights had been abandoned with blackouts on the Egbe-Idimu Road, permitting hoodlums to perpetrate crimes such as bag snatching, rape and other nefarious activities.

Prince Shakiru Akerele, the Second Vice for the Community Development Area, who granted Alimoshotoday an interview, decried the dereliction of the roads in the area.

He lamented that only the Ejigbo Road, which leads to the Nigeria National Petroluem Corporation (NNPC),  has been attended to.
