The ongoing road construction of Market Street in Egbe-Idimu Local Council Development Area (LCDA) of Alimosho has been finally completed, after four months of agonising wait.

The construction of the road started on August 4, 2020.

Recall that AlimoshoToday had reported the construction of drainages on Shobukola and Market Streets and the road construction that was nearing completion before it was abandoned.

Sources also revealed that the construction of the road had begun under the previous administration before Hon. Kunle Sanya-Olu Olowoopejo took charge of the project.

Meanwhile, residents have reacted to the completion of the road.

Mrs Hauwau Ajayi, a trader,  said she is elated that the road has been completed because it had started getting worse after it was abandoned about a month ago, and dust was always flying everywhere.

Alhaji Lukman Ayoola said the completion of the road was a dream come true because it has been a serious problem in the area. He said the problem of flooding and ditches that damage vehicles and injure residents who were unaware of such ditches will now be a thing of the past.

Mrs Ajoke Olaniyi said she is glad that the road has been completed but she's nevertheless expecting that the construction of Shobukola Road would be completed on time, too, because it also leads to the market.
