Contrary to some unverified reports that Do-est Dot College, Idimu in Egbe-Idimu Local Council Development Area will be participating in  the Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu Mega Youth Festival, the school management has distanced itself from such reports.

The event is set to commence with its first-round scheduled for Saturday, November 21, 2020.

The authorities of Asiwaju Mega Initiative revealed this in a statement.

Do-est Dot College has revealed " NO-PARTICIPATION" statement despite the claim by some media outlets that the reputable school would be involved.

The school principal who craved anonymity said: "We're sorry that we won't be participating because we have several other activities coming up."

The activities highlighted for the Mega Youth Festival include essay writing, mathematics competition, music/dance talent hunt, and art exhibition.

The art exhibition will challenge participants to draw the portrait of any given council chairman.

According to the organisers, all the winners of these competitions will represent each local government at the second round (state competition) by February 2021, while the winners in each state will represent the states at the final round (national competition) in March.
