VIDEO: Rubbish heaps overwhelm communities in Alimosho
Heaps of garbage are being dumped everyday on major road medians in Alimosho Local Government. Igando, Ikotun and Idimu Roads have become an eyesore despite recent pleas from the officials of the Lagos State Waste Management Authority (LAWMA) on the health hazards surrounding inappropriate waste disposal methods.
Some residents have confirmed LAWMA's assertion on low charges and the waste management agency's effectiveness. A few others have, however, refuted the claim, arguing that they hardly see LAWMA officials in their neighbourhood. Watch the video below.
