Missing 22-year-old BRT passenger, Oluwabamise Ayanwola found dead, driver arrested

SEQUEL to AlimoshoToday’s story on Friday, March 4, 2022, about a 22-year-old lady, Miss Oluwabamise Ayanwola, who got missing after boarding a Bus Rapid Transit (BRT), the Lagos State Police Force, through its spokesperson, Adekunle Ajisebutu, has confirmed that the lady has been found dead and the bus driver, arrested.

According to reports gathered by AlimoshoToday, Ayanwola’s corpse was dropped on Lagos Island by a BRT vehicle and a jeep.

Upon sighting the corpse by the roadside, an unknown man reportedly informed officials of the Ebute Ero Police Station on Saturday, March 5, 2022, in the evening.

The Lagos State Police Force retrieved the corpse at the Carter Bridge by Ogogoro community in Lagos Island, and the body has been deposited at the morgue of the Mainland Hospital in Yaba for autopsy.

Ajisebutu also noted that the bereaved family has been contacted and the corpse identified.

Meanwhile, the Lagos State Police Command has arrested the driver of the BRT, Mr. Nice Andrew Omininikoron, and further investigation is being carried out.
