THE Lagos State Debt Management Office (DMO) has trained its staff on the Advanced Excel module for a more efficient and effective service delivery in the discharge of their duties.
Speaking at the opening ceremony of the training, the Permanent Secretary, Debt Management Office, Mr. Olujimi Ige, said it became necessary to organise the training due to the need for staff, who are mostly accountants, to have advanced training on the use of excel in their work process.
The Permanent Secretary enjoined participants to take advantage of the training and justify their participation by making use of what they have learnt to improve on their service delivery.
The one-week training titled: “Using Microsoft Excel for Big Data Mining, Analysis and Reporting”, had several sessions which include Excel Environment and Options, Practical Use of Excel Functions, Introducing Data Mining, Introducing Pivot Table, Exploring Scenarios, What of Analysis, Building Models Interface Macros and VBA Programming.
Participants expressed their delight and appreciation for the opportunity to benefit from the training and promised to practise the knowledge acquired from the training in the discharge of their statutory duties.
