A staff of Globus Bank in Ikorodu, identified as Amarachi Ugochukwu, has allegedly committed suicide by drinking sniper owing to the worsening economy, among other factors.
According to media reports, the lady’s picture went viral on social media alongside her note, where she listed the reasons for her actions.
According to the late 32-year-old banker, she felt nothing was working in her life, and her future looked bleak alongside extreme hardship and a depleting economy.
Rather than continue to struggle, she chose to end things while apologising to her family and friends for her decision.
“Nothing is working in my life. My figures are low. My brain is clogged up. The economy is getting harder. My decisions are wrong. My mind is messed up. The future doesn’t seem bright at all. I see extreme hardship. I can’t bear the pain anymore.
“I’m sorry mum, I’m sorry dad, I’m sorry Nene, Okwe, Toto, Nazor, Chuchu, Ifunanya.
“Dear Lord, have mercy on me!” her suicide note read.
However, many netizens have empathised with her, understanding her reason for this action.
