The First Lady of Lagos State, Mrs Joke Sanwo-Olu has hosted The First Lady of Nigeria, Dr. Mrs Aisha Muhammadu Buhari's representatives in the Governor's House, Alausa Ikeja, Lagos, to deepen discussions on how to improve access and expand the RMNCH project in progressive connection with the Governor's T.H.E.M.E.S.

FIRST Lady of Lagos State, Mrs Joke Sanwo-Olu, has hosted the First Lady of Nigeria, Mrs Aisha Muhammadu Buhari's representatives in the Governor's House, Alausa Ikeja, Lagos, to deepen discussions on how to improve access and expand the Reproductive, Maternal, Newborn and Child Health (RMNCH) project, working with Wives of Governors.

Mrs Sanwo-Olu made this known in a statement last week Thursday.

Addressing the public, the governor's wife said: "Health is a key component of the T.H.E.M.E.S Agenda of the Lagos State Government.

"The T.H.E.M.E.S agenda of the Lagos State Government led by Mr Babajide Sanwo-Olu stands for Traffic Management and Transportation, Health and Environment, Education, and Technology.

"The health issues seeking address revolve around maternal, child, and adolescent health and reproduction occupying vantage spots in the programmes of the present administration of Mr Governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu," she emphasized.

Joke Sawo-Olu said: "Though a lot has been done in terms of improving access to healthcare, especially for women and children, including repositioning of Primary Healthcare Centres (PHCs) for efficient service delivery, training of Traditional Birth Attendants (TBAs), the building of more Maternal and Child Care (MCC) facilities, among others, the State Government will nonetheless continue to invest in these areas, as there are obviously more grounds to be covered."
