Chelsea ready to tangle with Barcelona for Lewandowski

FIFA Club World Cup Champions, Chelsea, is closely watching the situation around Bayern Munich striker, Robert Lewandowski, who could be up for sale when the transfer window opens.

The  33-year-old Poland international who has just one year left on his current deal with the German giants made it clear that he won't be signing a new deal with the club.

This means that Bayern Munich could be tempted to sell him during the summer transfer window for the right fee than allow him go at no cost next year and at least ravage some money from the goal machine.

Chelsea will now have to battle it out with Spanish club, Barcelona, who is also interested in Lewandowski but have work to do first in order to avoid La Liga's Financial Fair Play (FFP) sanctions.

This does not mean Chelsea will have it easy as the club is currently under sanction and unable to make transfers. It's likely though that the Chelsea might want to sell Romelu Lukaku to clear up space on its wage budget.
