You should listen to Mummy GO's warning against Valentine's Day

Mummy GO's bla, bla, bla about Valentine's Day may look weird, but unless we express love to those in need this love season, her words may count.

THE founder of Rapture Proclaimer Evangelical Church of God, Funmilayo Adebayo, also known as Mummy GO, has warned the general public to desist from celebrating Valentine’s Day. The fascinating preacher made a comeback with her bold, but eccentric teachings by explaining how the satanic forces of darkness use Valentine's Day to ensnare unsuspecting persons.

Here are Mummy GO's words: “The story that happened that they said they are celebrating as Valentine does not deserve celebration. The story has nothing to celebrate, but the enemy just chose it because that man — Valentino or what did they call him, they knew everybody loves him because he is a good person, who helped people and showed love to everyone.

“Yet, how did he die? He died a useless, terrible death. He died of dejection if you know the story very well. Is that something that needs to be celebrated? No.

“But they purposely chose it because the kingdom of darkness needs a day dedicated for falling, destruction and how do you convince people to celebrate immorality: they use popular figures loved by others.”

Mummy GO's rationale (she has never claimed to receive inspiration from the Holy Spirit) is mostly based on a supposed knowledge of the so-called Kingdom of Darkness ruled by Lucifer. Hearing this from a self-proclaimed expert in the study of Lucifer perhaps could have some good value to us.

Could it?

Frankly, whether the kingdom of darkness has the largest investment in Valentine's or not, let's choose love on February 14th and every other day. We often have no idea of our neighbours' individual challenges, this year's celebration of love is just another invitation to show love to those around you at all times.

This is not about falling for a kingdom that might as well have absolutely nothing to do with this, it is about compassion. Be compassionate this Valentine's season; leave Mummy GO to her stunts.
