SHOCKING: Despite being APC stronghold, Obi wins in Alimosho, dominates Lagos

It came as a shock seeing that the APC party embarked on numerous campaigns across all six LCDAs, with various CDAs, market groups, and professional groups promising massive votes for Tinubu.

PETER Obi, the Presidential candidate of the Labour Party in the 2023 general elections has won in Alimosho LGA, the most populated LGA in Nigeria and APC stronghold, to defeat former governor of Lagos and APC Presidential candidate, Asiwaju Bola Tinubu.

The results were announced earlier today, Monday, February 27, 2023, at the INEC collation centre in Lagos. Recall that yesterday, Sunday, February 26, 2023, some thugs assaulted Labour Party (LP) agents at the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) collation centre for Alimosho at the Technical College, Ikotun in the Igando-Ikotun LCDA.

According to the statistics, Peter Obi won with a total of 71,327 votes to defeat Bola Tinubu who scored 62,909 and Atiku Abubakar with 8,201 votes. This has led to widespread jubilation as party supporters and Obidients celebrated their victory.

Similarly, Peter Obi also won in Lagos State, in total, Tinubu polled 572,606 votes, Obi polled 582,454 while Atiku got 75,750 votes. Obi defeated Bola Tinubu, the All Progressives Congress (APC) presidential candidate after the votes were calculated from all the 20 LGAs in the state.

Though Tinubu won 11 local government areas in the state, Obi won the overall votes in the state, with a landslide victory in nine powerful local governments.

Tinubu won in Agege, Apapa, Badagry, Epe, Ibeju-Lekki, Ifako-Ijaiye, Ikorodu, Lagos Island, Lagos Mainland, Mushin and Surulere, while Ojo Eti-Osa, Amuwo Odofin, Ikeja, Ajeromi-Ifelodun, Kosofe, Oshodi-Isolo, and Somolu were won by Obi.

At this time, results are still being announced by INEC, as the APC is currently in the lead.
