POST PRESIDENTIAL ELECTION: Lagos Youth, let's accommodate ourselves without sentiments!

"Lagos is home for all, and regardless of our political differences, we must reflect our unique stand on unity and co-existence in our dealings with our brothers and sisters from other ethnic groups."- Kaokab.

FOLLOWING the announcement of the Labour Party as the winner of the Presidential elections in Lagos State, there have been reports of violence meted out on the Igbos across various areas in Lagos. This is condemnable and does not speak well of what we Lagosians are known for.

Lagos is home for all, and regardless of our political differences, we must reflect our unique stand on unity and co-existence in our dealings with our brothers and sisters from other ethnic groups.

Right from time, the Igbos have been supporters of APC in Lagos. Particularly, some Igbo groups endorsed and supported our House of Reps candidate in Alimosho. Hence, voting for any candidate of their choice, irrespective of our tribal bond and perception, should be accommodated and respected by all.

Asiwaju has won! Even if he lost in Lagos, that could not stop the will of the people. Let us all embrace peace and the will to co-exist with one another for a very prosperous Lagos. And a bright future filled with 'Renewed Hope' for all Nigerians.
