THE Lagos State Examinations Board has announced a new date for the 2022 Basic Education Certificate Examination (BECE) resit.
This new development was announced by the Director of the Board, Orunsolu Adebayo, in a statement on Wednesday, September 28, 2022, where he disclosed that the resit examinations will now take place on Thursday, October 6, 2022.
The examination, initially scheduled for today, Wednesday, September 28, 2022, would still take place, next Thursday, in various designated centres across the state.
Adebayo explained that the postponement became necessary to accommodate schools yet to register their candidates for the examinations.
“The Board does not wish to deny the affected candidates the opportunity of taking the examination”, he noted.
The statement urged principals to take note of the new date and make the best use of the extended date to ensure that affected candidates were duly informed.
