LAGOS 2023: APC reclaims Alimosho, Sanwo-Olu emerges governor-elect

THE ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) party in Nigeria's most populated LGA - Alimosho LGA has reclaimed its dominance in the area after overwhelming votes were cast in favour of the party's candidates in the just concluded Gubernatorial and House of Assembly polls.

Recall that the party had lost to the Labour Party in the February 25 Presidential and National Assembly elections, resulting in the party re-strategising.

Internal rifts among the party supporters had been mentioned as the reason for the defeat, and days to the polls, various stakeholders had assured all issues have been resolved and the party set to win.
