Kehinde Joseph pays Aries Polytechnic bills for recipients of scholarship scheme

THE Lawmaker representing Alimosho Constituency II in the 10th Lagos State House of Assembly, Hon. Kehinde Olaide Joseph, has sorted out the studying bills of all the recipients of his scholarship scheme at Aries Polytechnic, Ibadan.

The scholarship scheme, which covers tuition, medical, registration, and other fees throughout the National Diploma for the ND students and Higher National Diploma for the HND students were all sorted out by the grassroots-friendly Lawmaker.

Recall that the Legislator, through his YESKJ FOUNDATION, gave these scholarship opportunities to five hundred (500) students in his Constituency to study at Aries Polytechnic, Ibadan, with acceptance, academic, and mobility fees fully serviced by him in 2023 when the students were moved to the institution.9077

While addressing his Media Office earlier this week, Hon. Kehinde Joseph reiterated that education is the surest path towards the eradication of poverty, underdevelopment and insecurity in the country, saying that the sector remains top of his Legislative priorities in the State Assembly.

The State Lawmaker noted that the educational sector is the pillar upon which the country will sustain economic development and urged for more budgetary allocation for education.

"Leadership is about making impacts while in office and those impacts last long after you have left office because, without that, you have failed in leadership. This is one of the reasons I decided to play positive roles in changing the status quo in my capacity.

"We might have given out JAMB and GCE Forms, but I believe that out of several hundred being given those forms, how many of them make it to higher institutions? This is the reason why we've decided to do the full scholarship in private institutions.

"As it is, there is no better way to empower people than through the education of their children. When you give money, it will certainly finish and they may still be poor; and when you buy cars or motorcycles for people, they will one day run out of fuel and come back for more assistance, but when you give their children education, you are setting them free and empowering them to become greater even more than yourself. That is what I have just done because educational empowerment is the greatest empowerment," he maintained.
