ACCORDING to a statement released by the Special Assistant to the Chairman on Media, Mr. Babatunde Opeyemi Yusuf, the event took place on Friday, October 22, 2021, at the Alimosho LGA Secretariat, Akowonjo with youth from all the six LCDAs in Alimosho in attendance.
The statement reiterated that the commissioner emphasized the Lagos State Governor's interest in ensuring that Lagos youth are meaningfully engaged.
According to Hon. Arobieke, Gov Sanwo-Olu wants youth between the ages of 18 and 35 years to be their own boss thereby creating employment opportunities in the state instead of being job seekers.
She added that youths from the six Alimosho LCDAs will be selected from time to time for training and eventual empowerment/engagement.
The program also had in attendance the Commissioner's team; Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Wealth Creation and Employment; the Council Manager, Alimosho LGA Mr. Emmanuel Akinbami; HODs across the six Alimosho LCDAs, as well as other civil servants.
