WE are exactly 25 days from the much-anticipated 2023 general elections in Nigeria. As you already know, INEC extended the PVC collection deadline to Sunday, February 5, 2023, to give room to those who may not have already collected their cards.

While that stands, some people may want to boycott the elections, believing their votes do not count. In the 2023 elections, all votes will count and we have cogent reasons to believe so.

The Bimodal Voter Accreditation System (BVAS) newly introduced by the INEC, in addition to the new electoral act will ensure that votes will count. Also, new innovations by INEC prove that votes will count as votes from any polling unit where violence occurs will be voided.

Think about this; despite the fact that Alimosho is APC-dominated, the party and all the candidates still campaign massively across the length and breadth of Alimosho. If votes do not count, will these already-popular candidates bother to campaign? No! Therefore, all votes count!
