A Canada-based Youtube celebrity, Marina Esiri Iyeme-Eteng, will be one of the facilitators of the Alimosho Tomorrow Leaders Conference coming up in September 2023.

Recall that Alimosho Tomorrow Leaders Conference, a community youth development project initiated by AlimoshoToday.com, was held in 2022 and had been lauded as an initiative worth sustaining.

The 2023 edition of the Alimosho Tomorrow Leaders Conference will have, among other top-notch motivational speakers, Nigerian-born Canadian and YouTube celebrity, Marina Esiri Iyeme-Eteng, as a facilitator of the event.

Marina, who lives in Saskatchewan, Canada with her family, earned a degree in Microbiology from Ambrose Alli University in Nigeria and later dived into Human Resources. As of today, she has over 10 years of HR experience and she is currently a Human Resources Recruitment Consultant with the Provincial Government in Saskatchewan. She is currently pursuing the Chartered Professional in Human Resources designation in Canada.

Marina is also the Creative Lead at Marina Esiri Consults and the personality behind the YouTube channel, 'Marina Esiri', a platform she uses to advocate for a positive immigrant experience and to help newcomers and foreign-trained professionals settle into life in Canada. She is a passionate thought leader, conference speaker/host and a community panellist in conversations surrounding the newcomer experience in Canada. She is a wife and a mom of two kids.

Responding to AlimoshoToday correspondent's questions during a chat up, she said: "My YouTube page was first created as an avenue for my friends and family back in Nigeria to keep up with our lives in Canada and more importantly, out of a need to help newcomers in Canada make the right decisions.

"In my first job here in Canada, I was meeting a lot of new immigrants who were giving up all their previous experience and education and starting again in unrelated careers because they didn’t know that what they already had could be transferred. It was a lot of time and money wasted in doing that, and I could no longer be silent and watch more people make such bad decisions, so I decided to make videos advising people on better ways to go about their career advancement and life in general.

"My channel has quickly morphed into becoming a resource guide for newcomers who need all-around and practical information about how to restart their lives in their new country. The information I share leverage my lived experience as an immigrant and my professional expertise as a Human Resources Professional."

Marina was also recently nominated as one of the Top 100 Black Women to watch in Canada, so much so that she was recognised by the Mayor of Saskatoon, the city she resides in the province of Saskatchewan.

"Having Marina Esiri from Canada not only adds value to this year's (2023) edition of the Alimosho Leaders of Tomorrow Conference, it also tells that the community youth development initiative is a credible one.

"We are grateful she honoured our invitation. She will positively impact the students, no doubt," says Dupe Akinola, Publisher of AlimoshoToday.com.

The 2023 edition of the Alimosho Leaders of Tomorrow Conference will be held in September, with the sponsors being Avila Naturalle, Ambassador Kaokab Ibraheem Aroworatira, Omo Alausa Foundation, Sacorah Global, Lagos Theatre, Igando, among others.
