It is said the initiative was born out of the need to showcase the talented youth of Alimosho, hence give the Alimosho youth the opportunity to launch into the career of film making. It is also said the initiative will portray the Alimosho community as fit to bring the movie industry home to nurture.

Speaking with Dupe Akinola, Publisher of Alimoshotoday.com over the weekend, he said "Alimosho is the largest local government in Lagos and expectedly it has an enviable youth power. I think we can engage the youth in a way that appeals to them and making a movie all by themselves will be welcomed by the youth."

Asked if there is a script already developed for the movie,

"Yes. The movie title is "Piano Angel" and the production most certainly will be managed by Praxix Studios. We intend to feature one or two Nollywood stars to gear interests and most importantly, to provide an avenue for our youth to learn from the masters. So, except for the Nollywood stars, all cast will be youth based in Alimosho so the youth in the community should watch out for updates on Alimoshotoday.com" Akinola said.

AlimoshoToday.com launched in July 2020 and the site represents Alimosho local government and its five LCDAs. It is a member of a global media network based in Canada and the only member of the network that is of African origin.
