FOUR minors riding horses took over Ikola Road area of Agbado Oke-odo yesterday, disrupting the flow of traffic in the process.

The boys, two on a horse, rode almost a stretch of two kilometres along Ikola Road while vehicles behind had to follow their lead and avoiding overtaking them not to collide with vehicles on the other side of the road.

"We are use to it", said a trader, Paulo, and who's store is nestled on the roadside along Ikola Road. "We don't know where they got the horses and in any case, they are too young to take this type of risk.

He added, "Their parents must be the carefree type. You can't drive when you are below 18. What do we call little boys riding horses on the express road?"

A resident in the area who shared the same view with Paulo said: "Their parents should be arrested and locked up. The eldest among them can't be more than 16 years. They can't ride horses on that speed on this type of busy road. How come this is happening? Do we really have laws in this country?"

Efforts to stop the boys and talk with them was however unproductive.
