The police charged Afolabi with conspiracy and theft.
The prosecution counsel, ASP Bisi Ogunleye, told the court that the defendant committed the offence with some other, at large at Abule-Egba area of Lagos on the 13th of January.
Ogunleye said that the defendant stole the cartons of beer belonging to Fafem Haulage Nigeria Ltd.
He also said that the defendant also stole six truck tyres worth N750,000.
Ogunleye said the offence contravened the provisions of sections 287 (7) and 411 of the Criminal Law of Lagos State, 2015.
The defendant pleaded not guilty.
Magistrate Ejiro Kubeinje admitted the defendant to bail in the sum of N1million with two sureties in like sum.
Kubeinje ordered that the sureties should be gainfully employed with evidence of two years tax payment to Lagos State Government.
The case was adjourned until April 14 for mention.
