THE Executive Chairman of Agbado Oke-Odo LCDA has welcomed the residents of the council area to the holy month of Ramadan while urging them to adhere to the guidelines of Ramadan.
In a goodwill message signed by the council boss at the start of Ramadan on Saturday, April 2, 2022, he said; “The month of Ramadan is the month which Allah in His infinite mercy revealed His undiluted words to His messenger, Prophet Muhammad (SAW). The month of Ramadan also has the majesty’s night engulfed in it (Laila tul Quadri).
“The Holy Quran descended to the earth in this holy month, bringing with it the guide for humankind. Its texts are pure and its teachings are classic.
“May I use this opportunity to urge everyone to fulfil the purpose of Ramadan this year, adhere to the guidelines which are ordained to make Ramadan an act of Ibadah, stay conscious of His (Allah) power, fear Him because He is the greatest in this world, worship and pray to Him this Ramadan because He never rejects the prayers of a fasting person. Stay true to your beliefs and imbibe the preaching of Islam.
“On behalf of the government and the good people of Agbado Oke-Odo LCDA, I wish you our wonderful Muslim brothers and sisters, Ramadan Kareem. May this divine month of Ramadan erase your sinful past and bless your heart with love, kindness, and mercy. May Allah accept your acts of Dua and Ibadah and count it as righteousness for you and may the end of this Ramadan mark the beginning of a new journey towards Al-Jannah for you.”
