THE Executive Chairman of the Agbado Oke-Odo LCDA, Hon. David Famuyiwa, has celebrated with the Muslim faithful in the council area during this year's Eid-el-Maulud celebration.
In his celebratory note on Wednesday, September 27, 2023, Famuyiwa said: “It is with great joy that I rejoice with all Muslim Ummah as we celebrate this year's 1445 AD Maolud Nabiy celebration.
“This annual auspicious occasion celebrates the birth of the Prophet of Allah, Muhammad (PBUH). This day also reminds us of the teachings of Prophet Muhammad (PBUH). He encouraged us to imbibe the giving of alms to the poor and preached good hygiene, peace and love in family and community and even to animals.
“May I, therefore, use this medium to admonish us to learn and practice the teachings of the Holy Prophet (PBUH) by extending hands of love to people around us, encouraging peace and also giving alms to anyone who needs it, even as the nation is going through economic reform.
“On behalf of the government and the great people of Agbado Oke-Odo LCDA, I say a Happy Eid-il-Maulud to all our Muslim brothers and sisters. It is my prayer that we shall all get our rewards in multiple, as promised by Allah.
“Happy Maolud Nabiy celebration.”
