THE Executive Chairman of the Agbado Oke-Odo LCDA, Hon. David Famuyiwa, has felicitated teachers in the council area and all over the Alimosho Federal Constituency as they celebrate the Year 2023 World Teachers' Day.
His congratulatory message on Thursday, October 5, 2023, read: “On behalf of the government and the good people of Agbado Oke-Odo LCDA, I celebrate those who painstakingly groom, nurture, mould, and equip minds and generations with legally and socially approved practices, skills, norms, and values as the world commemorates Teachers’ Day today, Thursday, October 5, 2023.
“It gives me great pleasure to appreciate and celebrate with our teachers in Nigeria and particularly in Agbado Oke-Odo LCDA, as they join their counterparts all over the world to mark the Year 2023 World Teachers’ Day. I commend Nigerian teachers at all levels for their sacrifices, commitment, and dedication to the course of nation-building and development of the educational sector, despite the daunting challenges, as teachers constitute the bedrock of national development since other professions draw from their wealth of knowledge.
“My administration has been committed to improving the environment for teaching and learning, which has resulted in the construction and rehabilitation of school buildings and provision of furniture for teachers and students in recent times.
“I am convinced that the future of our society is closely tied to the quality and welfare of our teachers, who are in charge of moulding our children and preparing them for the future, and this administration is here for it.
“Happy Teachers’ Day to our heroes and legends!”
