A large number of residents of the Agbado Oke-Odo LCDA in the Alimosho LGA have benefited from the free eye care initiative sponsored by the Lagos State Commissioner for Tourism, Arts, and Culture, Pharm. Uzamat Akinbile-Yusuf.

According to information reaching Alimoshotoday, the free eye test, and the distribution of drugs and eyeglasses for beneficiaries was carried out during an interactive session with the leadership of the Community Development Associations (CDAs) of the council area, held at the Ajasa Town Hall in the Agbado Oke-Odo Local Council Development Area (LCDA).

At the event, the Chairman of the Community Development Committee (CDC), Ernest Wale Kasumu thanked the commissioner for her responsive leadership role in the development of the council area, while also enumerating the various infrastructural needs confronting their communities.

On her part, Akinbile-Yusuf said the need to complement the healthcare initiatives of Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu informed her decision to offer free eye care for residents.

The commissioner said Governor Sanwo-Olu has touched lives with infrastructural development in Alimsoho and across the state and urged the community leaders and residents to support the governor’s re-election bid with massive votes.

"I will ensure that I lobby and make case for the resolution of the infrastructural challenges in communities in Agbado Oke-Odo LCDA, which you have mentioned today. I want you all to support the re-election of Governor Sanwo-Olu and to give your support to Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s presidential ambition."

Over the years, Hon. Uzamat Akinbile-Yussuf has shown capacity through various people-oriented programmes carried out in her immediate environment and by extension, Alimosho LGA.
