Agbado Oke-Odo Community Development Committee (CDC)

AGBADO/Oke-Odo Community Development Committee (CDC) held its Agbado-Oke-Odo Economic Summit recently.

The Summit, themed "Creating a Landscape for Economic Growth" is said to focus on initiating an enabling environment that will help identify possibilities for conducive planning, good governance, growth, responsive public-private sector investments, significant and sustainable steady- wealth creation, and capacity building and growth for Agbado-Oke-Odo LCDA. 

According to a statement made by an official of the CDC, he said, "The CDC promotes unity, leadership initiative and togetherness among members. The quest to raise a better, secured standard of living for our community people led to the Economic Summit. 

"The CDC, in its quest to support the growth in Agbado/Oke-Odo, the whole communities were grouped into fourteen Communities Development Association; Aboru, Abule-Egba, Agbelekale, Ajasa, Alagbado, Amikanle, Ifesowapo, Ikola, Meiran, Ojokoro, Oke-odo, Oki-Alaguntan, Olota, and Suberu-Oje, which will help foster competitive developments and even the distribution of wealth sharing from both the Local Council Development Area and the Lagos State Government respectively.

"Agbado/Oke-Odo is a fast-growing mini 'nation' in Lagos State. Its economy has the potential to grow geometrically if all necessary measures and factors are put in place. That is what the Summit intends to achieve; to be the catalyst and engage all stakeholders in charting the path to greater economic growth and development.

"The Summit is poised to fast track business and economic expansion, thereby increasing wealth generation. Hence this is a passionate call to genuine investors and it is hoped that the partnership will be mutually beneficial and highly rewarding for your various organizations", he said.
