THE executive chairman of Agbado Oke Odo Local Council Development Area, Honourable David Famuyiwa and the wife of the Chairman, Mrs Mariam Famuyiwa, through a Non-Governmental Organization (MUNJERES ENTRE MUNDOS) and the Parliament of Andalucia, Spain, have commissioned three water projects in Irewole Community, Unity Estate and Daleko/Abule-Egba area of the LCDA.
One of the boreholesIn her welcome speech, Mrs Famuyiwa expressed her joy in the project which is aimed at providing immense succour and smile to the faces of the people.
She appreciated her husband, Honourable David Famuyiwa for the privilege to address the gathering. She also commended the NGO, MUNJERES ENTRE MUNDOS, headed by Mrs Gloria Peter Ekereuwem, the Parliament of Andalucia, Spain and Dr. Femi Olatunde for making the project a reality.
She further acknowledged the contribution of the organisation in ensuring that mothering and homemaking becomes easier. She, therefore, admonished everyone, especially women, in the communities to take responsibility for the maintenance of the water projects so as to encourage and motivate the organization and other people of goodwill to do more.
.She concluded by urging everyone to observe safety protocols pertaining COVID-19 and ensure they get vaccinated in order to save the world.
In her remarks, the President of MUNJERES ENTRE MUNDOS, Mrs Gloria Peter Ekereuwem, appreciated the support received from the LCDA and particularly Dr Femi Olatunde. She mentioned that the LCDA should expect more from the NGO while seeking the cooperation of everybody.
The Chairman, Joint CDC, Alhaji Olaide Rotimi (Timi Roland) appreciated the team for the Projects and promised that they will be judiciously utilised and properly maintained while requesting for an alternative source of power for the projects.
At the commissioning of one of the boreholesPresent at the commissioning were the Executive Committee Members led by the Vice-Chairman Agbado/Oke-Odo LCDA, Chief Akinwumi Odeyemi; the Council Engineer, QS Adesanya Oluwarotimi, who represented the management, and All Progressives Congress Leaders and members.
