THE Executive Chairman of Agbado/Oke-Odo LCDA, Honourable David Famuyiwa, has attested to Y2021 Appropriation Estimate at the Council Secretariat as approved by Legislative Council.
In a letter addressed to the Executive Chairman dated March 12, 2021, signed by the Clerk of the House, Mrs Adeyanju B.F and the Leader of the House, Hon. Kehinde Shobayo, the Legislative Council clearly stated that they have carefully gone through the Budget Estimate while noting that the relevant Heads of Department and Heads of Units were invited to defend their proposed budget at the Legislative Chamber.
The Head of Department Planning, Budget Research and Statistics, Mr Onitiri Adebola, mentioned that the budget was presented to the Legislative Council on February 25, 2021 and the approval was received by the Executive Chairman on March 3, 2021 which means the House speedily passed the budget in less than two weeks of presentation. This, he said defines the effectiveness and diligence of the Legislative Council.
The Leader of the House, Honourable Kehinde Shobayo, while giving his remarks, stated that the development of the LCDA is germane to the Legislative Council, hence, the speedy passing of the Budget into law. He concluded by urging the Executives, Legislature, Management and all staff who will be working to make the LCDA great never to relent until the LCDA is great.
The Council Manager, Mr Shogbamu Olugbenga, in closing appreciated all participants for their unquantifiable and highly valued contributions while he acknowledged the immerse efforts of the Executive Chairman, Hon. David Famuyiwa in moving the LCDA forward.
The Council Helmsman appreciated the Legislative Council for their swift action regarding the Y2021 budget which he presented to them for approval and promised to work in conformity with the law.
