SIXTY-ONE years on and we are still here. Probably not where we wanted to be but we are not giving up because we still have a country to call our own.

While we celebrate this day and as we look forward to a better tomorrow, we must all realise that we are the Nigeria we desire. Going forward, we must do right, live right and be just at all times, in our homes, neighbourhood, office environment, and in every other places.

Nigeria is blessed with lot of natural resources, good weather, good land full of fertility, good people, and committed leaders who need our collective support to effect progress. I pray for our leaders to receive the grace to lead us well.

For our country, I pray for unity in diversity, more security of life and property, respect for life and rule of law, all round development, and equality for all. Also, we should make sure we get our Permanent Voters Card as the registration portal open on October 4th, in order to vote who we all believe would serve humanity.

Wishing all Nigerians, Lagosians, and the good people of Alimosho Federal Constituency, a happy Independence Day and also welcome us to a brand new month of October.
