Why Nwabali owes me a Mercedes Benz- Chippa United coach

THE Coach of South African club, Chippa United, Coach Sean Louw has made it known that Super Eagles keeper, Stanley Nwabali, owes him a Mercedes Benz after betting with him.

Stanley Nwabali, who plays for Chippa United had doubted Sean's prediction that he would play in a major tournament for the Super Eagles of Nigeria as he had only made one appearance for the national team at the time.

The 27-year-old former Enyimba and Katsina United shot-stopper eventually made a major appearance for the team as he was in goal for the biennial AFCON competition hosted by Cote d’Ivoire.

“I told Stanley that he is going to play in the AFCON and he said, ‘I will never play at the AFCON as long as I am playing for Chippa,” Louw told Idisktimes.

“I said ‘Challenge accepted’, and he said if he plays AFCON, he will buy me a Mercedes Benz. Until today, I am still waiting for my Mercedes Benz (laughs),” he added.

The shot-stopper who won the heart of Nigerians at the tournament is expected to continue to be a starter for the Super Eagles team as he was also invited for the World Cup qualifiers against South Africa and the Benin Republic.
