SUPER Eagles of Nigeria winger, Samuel Chukwueze has made it clear that the team is not yet in the mood for celebration as they still have one more game to win before they are crowned champions of Africa.
Chukwueze, who came in as a sub in Nigeria's win against South Africa on Wednesday, believes that the team still has a lot to do and should only focus on the finals for now.
Ahead of the keenly anticipated clash against Cote d’Ivoire in the AFCON 2023 final, the AC Milan forward, speaking to the media team, said: “We are not in a celebration mood at the moment.
“We are trying to recover from the game and focus on the game on Sunday against the host country (Cote d’Ivoire) in the final."
The Super Eagles of Nigeria who were crowned champions in 2013 are Africa's most successful team in terms of medals won; they were crowned champions three times, picked up the runner-up medal four times, and the third place bronze eight times.
