THE World cup qualifier fixture between the Super Eagles of Nigeria and Liberia will be held at the  Grand Stade de Tanger, Morocco on November 11, 2021.

The qualifying fixture was supposed to be held at the  SKD Sports Stadium, Liberia  but the facility is under a ban by CAF, as it does not meet the requirements for hosting matches of such magnitude.

"We would like to point out that among other stadium requirements; one of the main concerns in the stadium is the pitch in the field of play, which is not up to the required level to host CAF/FIFA matches," the Confederation of African Football said in a press release, according to Liberian Observer.

The Liberia Football Association then requested that the Royal Morocco Football Federation allow the fixture to be played in Morocco which was accepted by the Morocco Football Federation.

The Grand Stade de Tanger has a capacity of 45,000 spectators and has hosted fixtures such as the 2018 Supercopa de España, between Barcelona and Sevilla, and also the Trophée des Champions clash, between PSG and Monaco.
