EYINMBA goalkeeper John Noble has been called upon to replace Francis Uzoho for the upcoming world cup qualifying fixtures after he withdrew from the squad due to illness.
Uzoho who also plays for Cyprus club Omonia Nicosia called in sick and would not be available for the game against Liberia and Cape Verde.
Uzoho was fit as at Thursday during the Europa Conference League but wasn't available for selection in the matchday squad for the Cypriot First Division clash against Ethnikos Achnas yesterday evening. Omonia Nicosia confirmed that it was due to illness.
Noble who was called on to replace Uzoho by the Manager Gernot Rohr has been with the Super Eagles of Nigeria before having trained with the Super Eagles when they faced Benin and Lesotho in the Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers, and Cameroon in two friendlies.
