SUPER Eagles of Nigeria shot-stopper, Francis Uzoho made nothing short of an excellent performance against Manchester United during Thursday, October 13, 2022, Europa league competition.
The goalkeeper was called upon by Omonia to take the starting lineup because first-choice goalkeeper, Fabiano suffered a shoulder injury in a league game.
The Nigerian international made various saves to frustrate Manchester United as he denied Marcus Rashford, Cristiano Ronaldo and Casemiro from finding the back of the net.
The 23-year-old goalkeeper eventually conceded a goal in the 93rd minute after making 11 saves as the match ended 1-0 in favour of the Red Devils.
Following his excellent performance, Uzoho was nominated alongside Vitor Oliveira, Joey Veerman, and William Boving for the Player of the Week award.
Also, for the Save of the Day award, Uzoho will battle with Ugurcan Cakir, Kenan Piric, and Jorg Siebenhadhl.
