The PAOK Salonika defender reportedly suffered the hamstring injury in the previous game against Ivory Coast following a decisive clearance in the first half against the Elephants.

Troost Ekong was unable to train with the rest of the squad after the game as he was spotted training separately from the team, while report suggests he could be out of the AFCON due to the injury.

Also, Super Eagles of Nigeria left-back, Zaidu Sanusi is doubtful of the game after also picking up an injury and could have Bruno Onyemaechi take his place, while Calvin Bassey could replace the injured Troost Ekong.

The Super Eagles need at least a draw against Guinea Bissau to comfortably secure a spot in the Round of 16 at the 2023 AFCON.
