NORTH London club, Tottenham Hotspur, is looking to hire Antonio Conte as the new club manager after sacking Nuno Espirito Santo on Sunday, October 31, 2021.

Nuni Santo was sacked just four months after his appointment. The Portuguese coach was sacked with his coaching staff following a 2-0 defeat to Manchester United on Saturday, October 30, 2021.

In an official statement, the club revealed:

"The Club can today announce that Nuno Espírito Santo and his coaching staff Ian Cathro, Rui Barbosa and Antonio Dias have been relieved of their duties"

Fabio Paratici, the Managing Director said: “I know how much Nuno and his coaching staff wanted to succeed and I regret that we have had to take this decision.

“Nuno is a true gentleman and will always be welcome here. We should like to thank him and his coaching staff and wish them well for the future.”

Tottenham has already contacted Antonio Conte for the now vacant position. Reports also suggest that the former Inter Milan manager is open for the job at Tottenham and only a few details are remaining to be agreed between both parties.

Antonio Conte has won the Premier League with Chelsea as a manager in 2016-2017; he also won the Serie A title with Inter Milan in the last season.
