Thomas Partey could make Premier League return on Monday

The Ghanaian has played just 15 minutes since October due to a series of muscle injuries, which also prevented him from playing at the 2023 AFCON tournament in Ivory Coast.

ARSENAL Manager, Mikel Arteta has announced that midfielder, Thomas Partey could be in the lineup on Monday when they play Sheffield United at Bramall Lane.

The Ghanaian has played just 15 minutes since October due to a series of muscle injuries, which also prevented him from playing at the 2023 AFCON tournament in Ivory Coast.

Partey has now returned to the team and was taking part in a full training session with the rest of the first team as Arteta admits that he is in with a chance of finally making his comeback.

“Yeah, Thomas had a session before the last game and now he’s done two or three consecutive sessions, He should be part of the squad on Monday," he said.

The Spaniard tactician also noted that the case is different with Takehiro Tomiyasu who has been struggling with calf problems and Oleksandr Zinchenko, also with a calf problem as they won't be available on Monday.
