THE battle of the greatest footballer of all time will take place for the last time as Lionel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo are set to go head-to-head in February.

The match, which will see Cristiano Ronaldo's Al Nassr play Lionel Messi's Inter Miami team in a match that has been tagged the last dance, will take place in Saudi Arabia.

Both players have been in the football limelight for over 15 years, dominating the top European football leagues with as many as 13 Ballon d'Or between them.

Ronaldo, who now plays for the Saudi Arabian side, having left Madrid for Juventus and then to Manchester United before Al Nassr, will play his biggest rival Lionel Messi, who was approached by clubs in the Saudi Pro League but chose to leave for the United States.

Lionel Messi left Barcelona for Paris Saint-German before joining David Beckham's team, Inter Miami in the MLS.
