MANCHESTER United Manager, Erik Ten Hag has promised to end the club's 'trophy drought', as he intends to start by winning the Carabao Cup this season.

The Red Devils are suffering their longest run without a trophy in 40 years, as they last held a trophy in 2017. But this season under the leadership of Erik Ten Hag, the club is aiming to bring home the Carabao cup by first defeating Nottingham Forest in the semi-finals.

“It's the best feeling you can have, winning a trophy. I had the luck in my career to win some trophies and it's magnificent, especially for the fans,” the former Ajax boss said.

“It's so great and I think the fans here have some experience, especially the older ones. But now, it is a period Manchester United didn't win trophies and it is too long ago. We are aware of that fact and we have to do everything to bring a trophy in," he added.

United are still contending to win multi silverware this season, as they are still in the Carabao Cup competition, the FA Cup, and the Europa League. On the Premier League table, they sit in fourth place, after losing to Arsenal on Sunday, January 22, 2023.
