MANCHESTER CITY's midfield boss, Rodri has slammed the performance of Real Madrid despite the Laliga giants kicking them out of the UEFA Champions League in the quarterfinal stage.

Real Madrid drew first blood in the first half through Rodrygo's goal but it wouldn’t end there as Kelvin Debryune got them back into the game in the second half, taking the game to extra time and then a penalty.

Speaking after the game, Rodri noted that he didn’t see Real Madrid as a threat throughout the game as he believed that the Citizens had the upper hand all through.

“I saw only one team today, to be honest. They defended and they knew how to suffer and we know how tough Real Madrid is. But, in my opinion, we should go through, in terms of chances and everything.

“It’s the trickiness of the competition. They know how to play, congratulations to them,” he said.

Real Madrid will play a well-known opponent, Bayern Munich in the semi-finals of the competition after the German team defeated Arsenal 1-0 at the Allianz Arena.
