FORMER Manchester United midfielder and World Cup winner with France, Paul Pogba has received a four-year ban from football because of doping.

Since the first test, the Juventus player has not been part of the team due to suspension and was put onto the lowest salary available to Juve as they waited on the outcome of a protracted case.

Following a second test and investigation, The National Anti-Doping Tribunal has accepted a request from the Anti-Doping Prosecutor’s Office for a four-year ban to be handed out to the player.

The former Manchester United star, who is tied to a contract in Turin until 2025, could have the deal terminated. However, Pogba is ready to appeal his sanction by taking the case to the Court of Arbitration for Sport.
