MANCHESTER City boss has challenged winger, Jack Grealish, to get even better after the player overcame backlash during his first season with the Manchester Blues.

The England international joined the City side from Aston Villa for a price of £100 Million and was expected to hit the ground running, but unfortunately, the player took time to adapt to the team. However, as expected, all he needed was time, and he has now grown to be a vital part of the Guardiola team.

In an interview with Skysport, Pep, who said he is proud of the player, also expressed optimism that he can do better.

“Yeah, he’s playing really good this season. But at the same time, like he knows, we want more. Now, he believes he is part of it. Maybe when he arrived he thought: 'I’m not good enough after the team won the Premier League.'

"Sometimes players adapt immediately, sometimes they need more time. Jack didn’t come here for just one season, he’s here for a long time. He’s an important player for us,” he said.

The 27-year-old grabbed a goal and assist in a man-of-the-match display against Liverpool last time out, taking his tally to four goals and five assists.
