IN what could be best described as a glorious come-back, Victor Osimhen returned to the pitch when Napoli played against Ajax, scoring the goal that guaranteed their qualification into the round of 16 of the UEFA Champions League competition.

In the final minute of normal time, Osimhen made a return to football action after a hamstring injury by scoring the goal that placed the game at a 4-2 win to Napoli extending their win to nine consecutive wins in all competitions.

Despite a goal-scoring performance, Napoli's manager Luciano Spalletti was not all that happy with the player's performance as he pinpointed some things that need to be worked on.

Spalletti said on Osimhen's performance to Corriere dello Sport:

"With Victor's entry we dribbled less than when Raspadori was there, but it was necessary.

"Osimhen is a bit of a big head, he went offside twice and didn't help the team in the non-possession phase, but probably because he does not have the right condition yet ."

The Nigerian international would be hoping to improve his performance and help Napoli continue the top-form performance as the club has now scored seventeen goals in the Champions League this season.
