NAPOLI Boss, Rudi Garcia is unhappy with Victor Osimhen being out for a few weeks due to an injury he picked up during Nigeria's friendly against Saudi Arabia last Friday.
The 59-year-old French tactician admitted that the team would miss the striker's presence on the field ahead of a busy fixture schedule this month.
The 24-year-old Super Eagles player will miss Napoli matches against Hellas Verona, Union Berlin, and AC Milan after he suffered a lesion of the biceps femoris in his right thigh while away on international duty with Nigeria.
"We need all our players fit and ready to play, and Osimhen out is a big loss for the team,” Garcia told La Gazzetta Dello Sport.
“He is an important player to the team, and we must find a solution in his absence," he added.
Victor Osimhen, since joining Napoli, has scored 65 goals and 15 assists in 111 games. He remains in contract with Naples till the summer of 2025, as the likes of Real Madrid and Chelsea are hoping to lay hands on him.
