SUPER Eagles of Nigeria and Napoli striker, Victor Osimhen has revealed his desire to win the prestigious Ballon d'Or award in his career.
The 24-year-old striker, who is among the 30 players in contention for this year's Ballon d'Or award, would not mind being the receiver of the award before the end of his football career.
He is among the African players who have been nominated for the award with other African stars like Mohamed Salah, Andre Onana, and Yassine Bonou.
“If one day I could get closer to win it, that would be more than a dream come true for me. Just playing at this level is already amazing for me. If it comes, it comes,” the Nigeria international told Mario Balotelli’s Twitch Channel, Vox to Box on TV Play.
The 2023 Ballon d'Or award ceremony will take place on Monday, October 30, 2023, with Argentina captain, Lionel Messi and Manchester City forward, Erling Haaland, the favourites to win the award.
