Manchester United's Manager, Ole Gunnar Solskjaer was in support of the vote to allow five substitutions in a game in the English Premier League.

Following the return of the Premier League football after the COVID-19 pandemic break, The Premier League  allowed the use of five substitutions but later reverted to three substitutions.

When asked if he was in support of the five substitution, Ole said: "100 per cent. I don't understand and I cannot believe the vote went against because we have to look after the players.

"We have to think about the players. This season is the most demanding season of all.
"I can see the point why clubs voted against it, but if you take a step back and think about these professional footballers and their mental and physical health, the only sensible solution would have been to give us the opportunity to rest a few more.

"We have already seen a lot of injuries in the Premier League. I would have liked to have five subs."

The manager will host Arsenal at old Trafford on Sunday which will be is 100th game as Manager for the club
