THE Super Eagles of Nigeria will have an international friendly match against the Albiceleste of Argentina, which will now hold in the United States of America.
The friendly fixture, which will take place sometime in March, was earlier scheduled to be held in China but has been scheduled to take place in the USA due to some dispute between Lionel Messi and Chinese soccer authorities.
Apparently, Messi was supposed to feature in a friendly between his club, Inter Miami and Hong Kong X1 earlier this year but missed it due to an injury, which angered the Chinese authorities.
The Super Eagles intend to use the friendly to prepare for their 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifiers against South Africa and the Benin Republic in June.
As for Argentina, they are expected to play another friendly in March against El Salvador.
